On assignment recently in Chicago I spent some time in the fantastic Millenium park. I was particularly excited to discover the Crown Fountains, designed by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa. The fountains consist of two 50-foot (15m) glass block towers at each end of a shallow, sparkling reflecting pool.
It was a 95 degree day so the cool water showering off the tall towers was a welcome relief. I spent about half an hour snapping shots of youngsters as they sighed, gasped and shrieked in this creative urban oasis.
